After reading this post on the cow, I might pick up the Canon 5D instead. It’s got the fulll 35mm sensor for better low light shooting as well as perfect 35mm film look…
So you might be thinking it’s crazy to shoot a movie with an SLR camera, but wait until you see the 1080p this thing kicks out. Nino Leitner got his hands on a pre-production model of the 550 d and put together a short film entitled “Feburuary”. You can watch the amazing footage as well as read his review over at his blog here:
The only draw back of this camera is that because it is a CMOS chip, there is distortion in high motion footage. That means all of our action scenes will still be shot on the Panasonic AG-HVX p2.
Well, I just got this email, and I’m going to see if I can fix it…
Hello,
Your Meetup Group recently came to our attention. Upon review, we’ve
found it to be primarily for the purpose of promoting a service, acting
as a listing service/notice, or otherwise highlighting a commercial
offer.
As a result of our inquiry into this matter, we’ve closed your Meetup
Group and refunded you for your most recent subscription payment.
We thank you for your interest in Meetup and apologize that we are not
able to serve your needs at this time.
So here’s the flyer! You can click the image above for the full sized version to print if you’d like. Or don’t. Either way is fine with us (but the way that involves you clicking and printing stuff is preferred).
We begin casting for the movie on April 7th from 6pm-9pm at the Three Keys Music/Studio 8121 recording studio in downtown Silver Spring. Audition will continue at the same time on the 8th and 9th, and then on the 10th (Saturday) from 10am-6pm. We are looking for actors of all shapes and sizes. For a complete list of characters to be cast please visit www.supafraud.com.
If you have a reel or a headshot we would love for you to bring it, but it’s not required. Just be prepared to deliver lines and sign a release.
Well the script was just submitted to the U.S. Copyright office, so I’ll be posting that soon. I also think I have a venue for the auditions, going to be checking out a spot this afternoon (thanks Kat!). If it looks like it’s going to work then I’ll design the posters and get to work on spamming out the hype for the auditions. Let’s get this show on the road!
So I just typed up the list of characters we will be seeking for our new project “Hero” (just a working title for now until we think of a better one). If you are interested in auditioning please stay tuned for updates on the casting call.
This file will be updated from time to time, but here is the link to it:
Hello everyone, I need in inexpensive/free venue to hold auditions for a short film. Multiple days, probably 3 weeknights and a Saturday (Wed-Friday 5-8 & Sat all day) please let me know if you know of one in the DC metro area. I will also be posting a list of characters with descriptions shortly.
PRE-PRODUCTION UPDATE
I have storyboarded about 30% of the film so far and it’s probably going to take another 10-20 hours to bang out the rest of it. So basically I’m on track to have that up and running well before we start shooting (awesome).
CREW!
I will also be looking to hunt down some some production folk in the DC area. Hit me up if you live in or can get to the DC metro area and would like to help out!
Well the Glidecam (HD-4000) came in today. I’ll probably spend a decent portion of saturday balancing it and screwing around with the camera (running up flights of stairs and such). Sunday I’m going to be running around the DC metro area scouting out locations so I can bang the story board out. Still looking at venues for the casting call, will get on that as soon as we find a good place.
Well I just finished the script for what will be my submission to the 2011 sundance film festival. I’m going to be scouting out some locations over the next few weeks (sure wish it was sans the snow) and then I’ll start storyboarding. I will be sending out a casting call on the DC area as well, standby for that…
